999/1000 times anyone following you has ill intentions. Now if you want to chat me up at a bar, and ask me to show you around, we can be friends .


I think that it depends on the city as well, but I don't think it's a good idea anywhere honestly.

Other commenters are butthurt because they want consent. How do you know this hasn't happened to you a thousand times already with no harm done?


There was a Christopher Nolan movie (Following), where a guy does something like this. Trying to not add spoilers, but It doesn’t turn out all that great for him.
